German Doner Kebab compares to a typical late night British kebab takeaway in much the same way that a Michelin Star dessert compares to a chocolate bar; we have taken a humble and often maligned product and turned it into a highly desirable, fresh, purchase that customers are proud to be seen enjoying day and night.

GDK is a fast, casual brand that has taken Europe and the Middle East by storm with its healthy & nutritionally balanced approach to traditional kebabs.


Initially launched in Dubai in 2013 as a franchise, GDK soon had multiple locations opened in the UAE thanks to its appealing franchise model. It now operates in UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah), Bahrain, Oman, Sweden, Egypt and now the UK where 40 of the country’s top multi-unit franchisees have already reserved over 200 territories between them. There will be 35 UK stores open by the end of the year, with plans to open a further 50 in 2019.


GDK’s vision is to become the number one kebab brand franchise in the world by providing consistency in quality of food, experience and value. It is positioned within the Mediterranean grilled vertical which is one of the fastest growing in the restaurant industry. 


The level of investment for the store fit out, equipment, stock, small wares and launch marketing package will range from approximately c£250,000 – £300,000 + VAT (Inc. the Initial Franchise Fee of £20,000) however this will of course vary depending on the size and location of your premises, seating capacity and level of refurbishment required.
